Why donate to the Connecticut Council on Economic Education?

The Connecticut Council on Economic Education is the single source for compressive economic and financial literacy instruction and materials for all of Connecticut's citizens. The Council is Connecticut's only nationally recognized clearinghouse for unbiased, rigorous financial literacy and economic education resources for teachers, students and everyone in Connecticut.

In conjunction with the University of Connecticut Center for Economic Education, the Council:

•  Makes Economic and Financial literacy for all of Connecticut's Citizens its ONLY MISSION!

•  Provides workshops (eligible for State approved continuing education credits for educators)

•  “Trains the trainers” for economic education

•  Provides publications to those interested in learning more about economics and finance

•  Operates the official Stock Market Game program for grades 5 -adult sponsored by the Securities Industry Association

•  Runs the annual state-wide Economics Challenge to teach and test high school students knowledge of the “dismal science”

•  Provides Economics Scholarships for Master Degrees in Economic Education and Entrepreneurship

•  Always seeking and providing other ways to increase the economic literacy level of the residents of the State
